Hotel “Mon Luxury Heritage”

The hotel “Mon Luxury Heritage” will be placed inside the Marina Polesana in Pula. In the past, the windows of the former military bunkers were used to watch over the sea accesses in Pula. Today, they offer a magnificent view of this modern marina with 400 berths, and of the island Saint Katarina with 42 dry berths for yachts. A bridge is connecting the island with the future 5-star luxury hotel complex. The hotel “Mon Luxury Heritage” will be ready to welcome its first guests by the beginning of summer season 2024.

The new hotel is being built in a preserved coastal area and, within the Brijuni Riviera, it is part of the development programme “Saint Katarina Island – Monumenti”. The area has a special significance for the Republic of Croatia, with emphasis on the conversion of the former military area into civilian use, the planned development of the nautical and touristic sector and the establishment of new urban functions. The company Kermas Istra has a concession for this area with a runtime of 50 years.

The peninsula Monumenti has two buildings, one dating from the Italian regime and one from the Austrian-Hungarian monarchy. Now, a new building is being constructed to enlarge the future hotel. The new wing will be connected to the heritage protected buildings of the former military barracks, which will be fully renovated.

In its new wing, the hotel “Mon Luxury Heritage” will offer 40 rooms with a size of barely 40 m² and 8 apartments with sizes from 70 to 120 m². The renovated wings will have 58 rooms of 33 m², which is clearly larger than the standards.

The concrete hotel structure is already completely finished. At the moment, intensive work is going on to complete the interiors. On the ground floor of the hotel, there will be an indoor pool and wellness area with a sea view through glass walls, which will provide a feeling of being directly immersed in the sea. On the first floor there will be a large restaurant with a stunning view of the entire bay of Pula.

The first room already has a window frame made of steel, which gives an idea of how the luxurious ambience will be perfectly combined with the amazing view. All rooms in the new part of the hotel will have their own small terraces.

Being located on a peninsula, each room has an open sea view, each one with its unique panorama, in both the new and the renovated unit. Most rooms are facing Pula and the entire bay, including Marina Polesana, while some rooms offer views of the Brijuni Islands and the open sea. The rooms in the back of the hotel have a view of the dense pine forest and the bay behind the hotel.

According to the conservator’s guidelines, the new wing of the hotel will be visually adjusted to the image of the former military barracks. Instead of open glass surfaces, the surfaces are hidden behind a special frontage that reminds of the look of the barracks. In the old military wing of the hotel, completely new concrete constructions were built for the floors, which will be connected to the new part by a lift.

In front of the hotel, the beach is already being prepared. Its outline is being covered with stones from the same quarry from which the stone blocks for the amphitheatre in Pula were taken. On the courtside of the complex, a large square is already being created with various public facilities such as cafés, restaurants and exclusive shops. Below the square there is a spacious garage. The special acoustic on the square makes it the perfect stage for small summer concerts and all kinds of events.
