Updates on Heritage Hotel & Resort Monumenti

Upon approaching the Heritage Hotel & Resort Monumenti, significant changes and progress in construction work over the past few months are visible. At first glance, the unique blend of Austro-Hungarian history and this unique location, situated near Brijuni and Pula, practically in the heart of Marina Polesana, is clearly noticeable. This innovative tourist-nautical project is significant not only for Pula and Istria but for the whole Croatia.

This area holds special significance for the Republic of Croatia, emphasizing the transformation of the former abandoned military area into a civilian purpose and the planned development of the nautical and tourism sector. The goal is to establish new amenities and attractions that will enrich the region’s tourism offer and serve the local population. The company Kermas Istra has received a concession for this area for a duration of 50 years, enabling a long-term development perspective.

On the ground floor of the building, there will be a luxurious lobby with a reception, a hotel bar, and comfortable chairs for guest relaxation. The hotel will consist of an old, renovated part of the Austro-Hungarian military wing with 58 rooms, each 33 square meters, and a new glass-clad building with 40 rooms, each nearly 40 square meters, and eight apartments ranging from 70 to 120 square meters. Guests of our hotel will have a unique experience as the rooms offer magical views of the sea, the entirety of Pula, and the islands of Brijuni National Park. The ground floor of the new wing will also feature a premium spa area with a sea-view inside pool.

In addition, the renovation of “Building 4” is underway, which will house a hall with a capacity for 400 participants, intended for conferences, various events, banquets, and ceremonial occasions such as weddings. This will enable year-round conference tourism.

In Heritage Hotel & Resort Monumenti we take great care in preserving our environment. Solar panels have been installed on the roof of the new wing of the building, emphasizing sustainable green tourism and the use of natural, pollution-free solar energy. This commitment to eco-friendly practices ensures that the hotel not only provides luxurious accommodations but also contributes positively to the preservation of our planet.

Although due to numerous external factors, we cannot yet precisely announce the completion date of the works, our goal is to complete the works as soon as possible. Our business model is based on year-round tourism, so even a potential opening in the autumn will send a strong message that our offer and Croatian tourism do not depend solely on the summer months.

Additionally, we will enrich the offer with an exclusive restaurant that will offer local delicacies, wellness services for guest relaxation and revitalization, and numerous outdoor activities that will further highlight the natural beauty of this area. Our goal is to provide guests with an unforgettable experience that will keep them coming back to our hotel.

We are particularly pleased that the citizens of Pula and the surrounding areas have recognized the unique value and beauty of this area, which is visible in the large number of locals who come for walks and sightseeing, delighted with what they see. The “Katarina and Monumenti” area, which had been decaying for decades, is now at the service of the entire local population. This positive change shows how important it is to invest in the revitalization and development of communal spaces that serve everyone.
