Marina Polesana Pula, member of the Marina 21 Group is the first marina which started a pilot project of “Dockers”, 6 of which are already being tested by our clients. A Docker represents a technology which aims to replace existing traditional marine platforms.
Docker is a technology equipped with three basic systems:
- system for supplying drinking water to the vessel
- system for supplying the vessel with electricity
- system for pumping black water from the vessel
Each Docker is equipped with 3 winders. Winders are fully autonomous, which means that marina clients must no longer have their own cable and water hose on the vessel, but everything is waiting for them in the marina at the berth equipped with a Docker.
The electricity cable and the water hose can be easily pulled out from the Docker and connected to the boat.
The black water pumping system is an important feature for the marina industry since the marina can easily collect (which is a legal obligation) all black and grey water from the vessels.
Each docker is equipped with a series of sensors and has an integrated controller that operates the entire system. Measurement of consumption in real time, billing according to actual consumption, notifications of a defect on the Docker or the vessel, etc. The Docker system pilot project represents another step to fulfil our vision of building a network of modern marinas offering innovative solutions to our clients.
