Marina 21 Group proudly announces the acquisition of Marina Korkyra in Vela Luka, bringing the total number of marinas within the Group to four. Alongside Marina Korkyra, Marina 21 Group now operates premium marinas Marina Trogir, Marina Polesana in Pula, and Marina Nautica in Novigrad. This strategic move further strengthens Marina 21 Group’s presence in the Adriatic and solidifies its position as one of the leading nautical tourism marinas networks in Croatia.
Marina Korkyra is located in a sheltered bay of Vela Luka on the western part of the Korčula island. Designed with years of attentively listening to the wishes and needs of sailors, the marina aims to provide maximum satisfaction and quality of service in all areas. Marina Korkyra offers modern facilities with 132 berths in the sea, accommodating vessels ranging from 7 to 40 meters in length. The marina’s design features a unique visual identity, appearing as an island connected to the shore by bridges.
Building on the experience gained from managing our existing marinas, we are dedicated to enhancing the services and standards also at Marina Korkyra.
One of the first major investments at Marina Korkyra will be the construction of additional sanitary facilities (toilets and showers), a priority identified based on the feedback from our clients. These new facilities will be built in the premises of the existing marina restaurant, which will be reduced in size and will be newly operated as a cosy café place serving variety of drinks and simple food to clients and visitors of the marina. This step aims to further improve the comfort and satisfaction of the marina clients.
In addition, construction works increasing the capacity of the marina from the current 132 sea berths to 177 will start soon. Important element of the marina extension project will be the construction of a new breakwater attached to the old municipal (ferry) pier. Designed to protect the entrance into the marina from the west, new breakwater will further enhance safety of the vessels and especially reduce the impact of the waves on the boats in the marina. All works are expected to be finished before the beginning of 2025 summer season, however we kindly ask our clients for their patience and understanding in case unexpected events should lead to delays of the construction works.
Marina 21 Group currently operates a total number of 1,129 sea berths and 206 dry berths, spanning an area of over 375,000 square meters. These capacities enable us to provide premium services and comfort to sea and sailing enthusiasts.
